I have to say my artwork that came out the most successful is my tree that i made. The Tree that i made i took my time on and It took time to build the tree and to put on all the leaves. When it came to the colors of the tree, i choose to do different shades of green and i even added Apples onto the tree. Some problems i had where adding the Branch on to the side of it. before i put the leaves on to it, the branch would weigh to much and make it fall over or it would fall off. So i would have to work on it from the side.
A project that i over came the most obstacles would have to be my Tree of nature, so much time and problems came with it. from trying out something called sloils, to making leaves and a truck. The Sloils are rolled up slabs that are supposed to save you time but being my first time using them I took my time to learn how they work and rolling them, unrolling them and rolling them again. Then i had to make it as evenly on the top as possible so the base for the leaves would sit right .
Two pieces that show my growth in art would have to be a bowl i did last year in my JR year in high school. My JR i wasn't really into art and i didn't really try because i would get frustrated and i would just want to give up so my art work wasn't the best. Come my Senior year I felt that i wanted to do art and I wanted to prove to my teacher that i can work with clay and that i can be in this class. So i stopped joking around and i worked on my pieces everyday and took my time on them and did my best on them and i made my teacher proud of me. My bowl last year i am so embarrassed about but thats okay because the bowl i did this year you can tell i tried more harder to make it in a shape of a bowl, i chose random colors and just had fun with it. I wasn't worried about what others thought it because i had fun in the making of the bowl and i'm not gonna let anybody judge me because of it.
